Problems of Aphakia

This lecture presents some problems which are experienced by aphakic eyes. It includes relative spectacle magnification (RSM), anisometropia in unilateral aphakia, aberrations, heavy lenses (glasses), visual field limitation, loss of ultra-violet protection and other problems like cystoid macular edema, retinal detachment, increase in proliferative diabetic retinopathy and ambylopia in children with unilateral aphakia.
